Job Description

Westcountry Group is looking for an experienced, pro-active, and results-driven team player for our Plymouth office, with a proven and demonstrable track record in Business development, telemarketing and appointment setting.

This person will fill a key role in the company’s strategic plan to continue the dynamic growth of our business; the role will suit someone who is hungry for success and actively looking to progress to the next stage of their career. Previous experience in the education market is an advantage but not essential.

This key role involves locating and canvassing prospective clients in schools, academies and colleges who are currently considering new furniture and/or premises refurbishment and fit-out, with a view to building strong business relationships and arranging appointments for a visit by one of our Sales Team.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Extensive use of telephone to contact prospects to secure appointments and discover current and upcoming opportunities
  • Updating our Customer Record Management system with notes and new appointment dates
  • Handling incoming enquiries from customers requiring appointments
  • Liaising with sales team regarding appointment times and locations
