King Edward’s Witley School

Institution: Independent School

Location: Wormley, Surrey

Requirements: School Furniture Project, Test

King Edward’s appointed Westcountry to design and install furniture for two major building projects. Westcountry worked closely with the school throughout the entire process, beginning with the initial briefing meeting and ensuring that the finished product incorporated both modern elements and aspects that honoured our school’s brand and history. The design for each space, being our refurbished Upper 6th House and the creation of our new reception, library a café in the Exhibition Hall, has been successful in creating a unique, functional, and exciting place where our pupils and staff can work, learn, and collaborate.

Their requirements

King Edward’s Witley required our design and refurbishment expertise to renovate several spaces within the school including day rooms and common rooms for the boarding students as well as the prestigious new Exhibition Hall, which is home to a new library, learning hub and café.

Our solution

Working closely with the school, our talented design team developed detailed plans and 3D visuals to bring these new areas to life. Our popular fly-throughs allowed the school to ‘walk around’ in the new spaces before they existed.

Result

Westcountry Group designed, delivered, and installed a range of contemporary furniture and soft furnishings combined with a sophisticated colour palette. In line with the school’s aspirations, we created inspirational spaces that provide exciting opportunities for research and independent study, a central place of welcome to the school and a relaxing space for dynamic and collaborative learning.
